“The early loss of Noe Parlavantzas, makes the family of Greek journalists and especially those dealing with Diaspora issues poorer”, states SAE President, Stefanos Tamvakis in his letter of condolence addressing ERA – 5 and friends and family of journalist Noe Parlavantzas, who lost the battle with cancer, last Friday.
Mr. Tamvakis continues; “With Noe we were connected through a long, selfless and sincere friendship, as we shared the same thoughts and concerns on the future of Hellenism around the world.
He believed in the power of Diaspora Greeks, organized and non, promoting, with particular sensitivity issues that concerned them, through the frequencies of the “Voice of Greece”. From the very first moment he embraced and supported the establishment of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad, something he carried out with consistency and responsibility until the last moment.
He was simple and sensible, calm and a fighter, noble and dynamic. That is how he will be remembered by all.
Farewell my friend Noe”.
Noe Parlavantzas’ civil funeral will be held today, as was his wish, at 17:00 from the Civil Service Hall at Athens 1st Cemetery.
Those who wish to pay tribute in his memory, may deposit funds for STROFI, KETHEA (Therapy Center for the Dependent) at the National Bank of Greece (account no. 111/296006-04).
