«Certificate of Pedagogy in Non Public School settings» program launched for Greek teachers abroad
Thessaloniki26.01.2011

In fall 2011, a program will be launched for the purpose of training and certification of Greek teachers abroad, within the framework of the partnership between the Consul of Education at the Greek Consulate of Chicago (CEG) and Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU).

The relevant agreement on educational partnership for this pilot program was signed on October 2010, by SAE U.S.A. Region Coordinator, Theodore Spyropoulos.

Note that the program is implemented with the generous sponsoring provided by the “Theodore and Erika Spyropoulos Foundation”, covering tuition fees for the first twenty students through scholarships totaling 75.000 USD.

The agreement regards the training and certification of Greek teachers abroad, so as to be able to teach Greek language and culture in Greek Diaspora Schools.
