A congratulatory letter towards the newly appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dimitris Dollis, was sent by SAE USA Region Coordinator, Theodore Spyropoulos.
The complete text of the letter follows:
“With great joy and satisfaction we welcome your appointment to your position as Deputy Minister of Foreign affairs, with responsibility for Greeks Abroad. Our pleasure and satisfaction are twofold. Firstly, your appointment to this duty honors Hellenism worldwide, as you are the first to assume this position, coming from the Greek Diaspora. Secondly, you have the necessary knowledge and experience coming from the positions you served in the past, in matters regarding Ecumenical Hellenism.
Hellenes abroad expect from you, the revival of their relations with the Greek State, under the light of new circumstances regarding their birthplace and worldwide. We also expect the revision and strengthening of the institution of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad, in order to assume its constitutional role, as a means of expression of all the forces of Hellenism around the world.
We wish you every success from the bottom of our hearts and we look forward to a close cooperation with you, for the wellbeing of Hellenism worldwide and Greece”.
