The Coordinating Council of SAE Oceania and Far East, In Darwin Northern Territory (Darwin, NT) will be holding an assembly on 6th and 7th of March, where the council intends to organize the 2011 Oceania Pan-Hellenic Games.
The Prime Minister of the Australian state has already expressed his interest, via the Greek Community of Northern Australia, to organise the next Pan-Hellenic Games Oceania under the auspices of the government and organise them in Darwin on 2011, a proposal which the opposition leader also supports.
Within the framework of their activities, a meeting has been scheduled with Prime Minister Mr. Paul Raymond Henderson MLA, for Friday, March 5th. After the meeting, the delegation will have a tour on the SAE sports venues proposed for the Pan-Hellenic Games Oceania 2011 and then onwards will have a meeting with the opposition leader, Mr Terry Mills MLA.
The Greek community in Darwin has already shown considerable interest in the organization of the Pan-Hellenic Games Oceania in their town in year 2011 and strong support is expected from them.
In their regular assembly the Council will be discussing the reporting of activities, the approval of the balance sheet of year 2009, setting the date for the General Assembly of SAE members and requests made by Community organisations and bodies. A briefing will also be held by the Coordinator of Youth Network, “Ellinomathia”/ Education in the Greek language, a reference to the proposals made by Community Bodies of SAE Oceania, the broadening of SAE base, future planning, issues which are of great concern to Hellenes and the organisation of the Pan-Hellenic Games of Oceania 2011, as well as the nomination for “Woman of the Greek Diaspora”
