His son Ross Makris did even better occupying the 5th place in the list of the 100 richest Australians under the age of 40 with a fortune of 350 million dollars.
Both father and son made millions from real estate investments in Adelaide.
The 20th place belongs to Peter Mavrides with 100 million dollars. He owns a Melbourne-based high-tech services company active in Australia and Asia with plans to expand to Europe as well.
Napoleon Perdis, 38, is 22nd with a fortune of 85 million dollars. He is the owner of a Hollywood-based cosmetics company and countless retail stores worldwide, in Australia, the United States, Canada, and the Middle East countries.
Kostas Anastasiadis, who was a soccer player in Britain, ended his career in football in 2000 and opened a pizzeria in Sydney. Today, he is the owner of a pizza franchise chain with stores across the country and assets estimated at 20 million dollars that bring him to the 97th place in the young tycoons list.
