Maria Rifioti (Brazil)

A first generation immigrant, Maria Rifioti from Egio, left Greece with her husband in 1954 in search of a better life. A mother herself of a child with mental disability, she wrote the book “With laughter and tears” in Greek and Portuguese to help families with disabled children.
