He was born in Evia, Greece. Graduated from the Economic Lyceum in Edipsos Baths and continued his studies at Thessaloniki Aristotle University, Law School Department of Political and Economic Science. In 1970, migrated to Australia, first to Melbourne, then to Adelaide and finally to Sydney where he lives today.
In Australia, he worked at different kinds of jobs but his main occupation was with the Ministry of Finance/Internal Revenue Service, while he also worked in afternoon and Saturday schools and in companies he had founded.
In the early 1980s he joined the Olympic Airlines staff and for the past 10 years he is the general director of Olympic Airlines, Australia and New Zealand routes.
Through the posts he occupied in Councils and Committees of Associations and Organizations he was able to contribute to the solution of Greek Australian community problems and to efforts aimed at preserving the Greek language and heritage.
He was elected to the boards of the Greek Teachers’ Association of New South Wales (NSW), the PanEvian Brotherhood “Paliria” of NSW, the Australian Hellenic Council, the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, and the Federation of Greek Communities of Australia, among others.
In December 2003, he was elected SAE Oceania NSW Coordinator. In the October 2006 elections in Melbourne, he was voted SAE Oceania and Far East Regional Coordinator for SAE.
