On the occasion of Christmas and the upcoming New Year I would like to express my warmest wishes for health, happiness and professional success to all Hellenes around the world.
We see 2003 off with a feeling of optimism, strengthened by the works of the 5th World Convention of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE). With our work and successful programs, we proved that SAE is capable of setting and materialising realistic objectives. However, we are not content with that. We will keep listening to the needs of Hellenes around the world and extending our help when necessary, thus accomplishing the basic mission assigned to us by the Hellenic State with the establishment of SAE in 1995. Our cooperation with the Hellenic State is now a two-way effective cooperation that strengthens us and provides us with the necessary guarantees in order to carry out our future plans. Our constant objective is to strive after the establishment of respect and unity between the Hellenes, as well as to support Orthodoxy worldwide.
The year 2004 is an important year for all Hellenes, who proudly support the organization of the Olympic Games by their homeland. SAE is doing its utmost to contribute to the promotion of Athens Olympics and Paralympics and of Ecumenical Hellenism. We are convinced that the Games will be both successful and safe and will make us all proud, regardless of where we are.
With these thoughts, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and creative New Year.
