The National Fund of Omogeneia (ETO) was established in 2001 by the then SAE Presiding Board as a civil non-profit company based in Thessaloniki.
Its range of action was designed to promote and provide financial support to SAE’s objectives, programmes and actions as well as humanitarian initiatives aimed at assisting the Greek Omogeneia.
The ETO founders’ vision is to achieve financial independence for the Greeks abroad.
For the reasons already mentioned, SAE has called on all its members to become ETO members as well.
Regular ETO revenues:
a.Annual contributions by full members and patron members
b.Proceeds from the registration fees paid by full members and patron members
c.Funds raised by the regional SAE bodies and the natural or legal entities they are comprised of
d.Revenues from ETO assets
ETO extraordinary revenues:
a.Sponsorships, donations, inheritances or bequests as well as any form of contributions by natural or legal entities
b.Proceeds from ETO hosted events
ETO FOUNDING CHARTER BODIES
1.General Assembly made up of all full ETO members
2.Board of Directors, numbering 15 members of which 11 full members and 4 representatives of the Body of Sponsors
3.Financial and Management Auditing Committee appointed by the Board of Directors and the General Assembly for a term of two years to audit ETO accounts and prepare a report to be presented to the Board of Directors and the General Assembly
4.Body of Sponsors made up of all ETO sponsors established to offer advice on ETO funds management
5.A 15-member Representative Committee of Sponsors elected annually by the Body of Sponsors
ETO members are distinguished into:
: the 11 SAE Presiding Board members and the 5 SAE Network Coordinators
: natural and legal entities wishing to offer moral, economic, scientific or any other form of assistance to ETO. The annual contribution or donation for patron members, aged 31-65, is 100 euro, while for those between the ages of 18 and 30 or over 65 annual contribution is at 50 euro.
: are distinguished figures, Greeks and Philhellenes, actively contributing to the promotion of ETO objectives particularly the strengthening of relations between Greek expatriates.
ETO DONORS, BENEFACTORS AND GRAND BENEFACTORS
A Board of Directors decision declares as:
: those making contributions of notable value
: those contributing assets of major value
: those offering assets of extreme value
contribute a sum equal or larger than the value of one sponsor share as defined annually by the Board of Directors. Currently one sponsor share corresponds to a 1,500-euro donation.
Sponsors are distinguished into the following categories:
A.Platinum Sponsors: owning 50 (75,000 euro) or more sponsor shares
B.Golden Sponsors: owning 30 (45,000 euro) to 49 (73,500 euro) sponsor shares
C.Silver Sponsors: owning 10 (15,000 euro) to 29 (43,500 euro) sponsor shares
D.Sponsors: owning 1 (1,500 euro) to 9 (13,500 euro) sponsor shares
PRIVELEDGES FOR MEMBERS AND SPONSORS
Members and sponsors will enjoy a number of special privileges based on the size of their contributions. Members and sponsors will receive regular online reports with the latest ETO news.
Sponsors will enjoy special offers, discounts and programmes by major hotel chains, airlines, tour operators, restaurants, etc. The goal is to reach agreements with commercial companies interested in making special offers for members and sponsors.
